VA San Diego Healthcare System invites Veterans and their families to a free Motown Miracles concert

SAN DIEGO - The VA San Diego Healthcare System (VASDHS) is pleased to invite Veterans and their families to a free concert on Veterans Day. The acclaimed R & B, doo-wap and soul group, the "Motown Miracles" will honor Veterans by holding a concert on Veterans Day, Monday, November 11, 2019 starting at 3:00 p.m. at Humphreys Half Moon Inn, 2303 Shelter Island Drive. Doors open at 1:00 p.m.
“We encourage all Veterans to join us for a fun, relaxing event with great music and an opportunity for Veterans to honor the day together,” said VASDHS Director, Dr. Robert M. Smith.
The Motown Miracles were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2012 and are famous for their Motown hits during the 50s, 60s and 70s such as "You've Really Got a Hold on Me," "Going to a Go-Go," "I Second that Emotion," "Tears of a Clown" and "Tracks of My Tears." The concert and parking are free for all Veterans and their families.
The event is hosted by the VA San Diego Healthcare System and sponsored by the Department of Veterans Affairs Voluntary Service, Veterans Canteen Service and Anthem Blue Cross.
