April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month.  In an effort to raise awareness about Military Sexual Trauma and its impact, VA San Diego Healthcare System is hosting a “Clothesline Project” on April 26 & 27, 2011.

The Clothesline Project is a visual display that allows survivors to “break the silence” that often surrounds these experiences. Survivors share their stories by decorating a shirt or piece of their military uniform in a way that reflects the impact the sexual violence has had on their lives and their road to recovery.

VA San Diego Healthcare System invites you to attend the Clothesline Project's Opening Ceremony and Display Days:

OPENING CEREMONY
Tuesday, April 26, 2011, 11:30 a.m.
Multipurpose Room  (1st Floor of the La Jolla Medical Center)

DISPLAY DAYS
April 26 & 27, 2011, 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Multipurpose Room (1st Floor of the La Jolla Medical Center)
