Provider Orientation and Training

Step 1:

Read the 2007 Bylaws, Rules and Regulations of the Medical Staff (Click to open) (134 printed pages)


Step 2:

Read and become familiar with the content of each of the following documents

Print and sign Certification Document (Click to open) to complete Step 4.


Step 3:
New Staff

New Staff read the VASDHS Orientation Packet (Click to open) (37 printed pages)

Log into the EES External On-line Learning (LIBRIX) Website: https://www.ees-learning.net
Click on the “First Time Users” button to register. 
Once in the system:

  1. Click on Available Courses on the left
  2. Click on the “Explore” Tab in the upper right corner
  3. Scroll down
  4. Click on the “Security” folder
  5. You will need to click on “Sign Me Up” for the two courses
    • General Employee Privacy Awareness
    • VA Cyber Security Awareness
  6. For each course you will receive a Certificate of Completion
  7. Print the certificates and submit them to the MSO

Step 3:
VA Employees

Reprivileging Staff

  • VA-PAID staff should complete the annual mandatory training on the VA intranet (via VPN or on a VA Computer).  Instructions are on the "Mandatory Training" webpage (Training->Mandatory Training).
  • WOC staff visit the VMRF VA Education site to complete the following annual training:
    • General Employee Privacy Awareness
    • VA Cyber Security Awareness
    • No FEAR
    • Prevention of Sexual Harassment (*can submit UCSD training certificate)
    • Affirming the Commitment – Customer Service
    • Infection Control
    • Emergency Preparedness
    • Life (Fire) Safety
    • General Safety
    • Electrical and Equipment Safety

Step 4:

Submit all documents and certificates to the Medical Staff Office (MSO).
