Patient Ambassadors
We have patient ambassadors in services throughout the medical center. If you have a problem with a specific service, ask to speak with the patient ambassador in that service.
Patient Advocates
VA San Diego has two professional patient advocates who are here to answer your questions and resolve any issues you may have in a timely manner. The patient advocates:
- Serve as liaisons between patients, the medical center and community clinics
- Act on behalf of the patient's behalf
- Help patients understand their rights and responsibilities
